From a fashion point of view there is no excuse for this.
But, of course, because of the large amount of metal in the belt buckle we have to ask that person to take off the belt and step through the scanner without it.
We will give it back because we would not be able to sell such a thing, even on eBay.
Pat and Ray operate the security checkpoint at our airport. They find the job a little tedious, so enjoy playing practical jokes on our passengers. This has got them in trouble on a number of occasions but, being very good at their jobs, they have gotten away with it. We have tried to counsel them to behave in a more grim, boring way, with little effect.
