FLYING IS FUN.

YOU SHOULD TRY IT WITH YOUR EYES OPEN!

What's That Noise?

Descent: "Speedbrake Rumble"

Sometimes during the descent you might hear, or feel, a slight rumble for a short period. If you were sitting at a window near the wing you might see a little flap pop up from the top of the wing... this is our speedbrake.

We use the speedbrake as one way of helping to slow down, or to descend a bit quicker if Air Traffic Control ask us to. The speedbrake causes a slight rumbling vibration that you might hear and feel.
