What's That Noise?
Start of Descent: "We're going Down!"
This flying is all very fun, but at some point we will need to descend, which is pilot talk for "go down".
You've been listening to the engines at medium power for quite a while now, so when we reduce the power for our descent it can seem very quiet. This is normal.
We start our descent about 240 kilometres (150 miles) from our destination, depending upon how high we are and the wind direction and wind speed.
