What's That Noise?
After Takeoff: "Engines Quiet, We Are Descending!"
Because we get used to the LOUD noise of the engines at full power, when we reduce them to MEDIUM power for the level flight it can seem very quiet. Don't worry, the engines are doing just the amount of work we need them to to fly level!
Because we WERE going UP, but now we are flying LEVEL, our body FEELS like we are going DOWN. THIS IS LIKE AN OPTICAL ILLUSION, BUT OUR BODY CAN REALLY BELIEVE THIS. IT IS NOT TRUE!
The next strange sound can occur during the descent...
