What's That Noise?
After Takeoff: "Engines Quiet, We are Descending!"
No we are not! This is an illusion!
Sometimes when taking off from a busy airport we have to level-off during the climb. This might be because there is another plane flying above us, so we fly level until he passes.
Sometimes when this happens it can disturb some passengers, if they don't know what is going on. This is because, all of a sudden, the engines don't make much noise and it FEELS like we are descending (flying DOWNWARDS).
THIS IS NOT TRUE, BUT IT CAN FEEL LIKE IT IS TRUE!
